JODY WHITEOAK
An avid traveller and environmentalist, Jody Whiteoak has worked on sustainable projects around the world, including working on organic farms through the Woofing Sheme (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) and observing sustainable practices in Thailand, India, Germany and Canada. He is currently building a permaculture system on twenty acres in Tasmania and working on control systems for reducing energy consumption in high-rise buildings.
STEVE PARKER
Steve Parker is teacher specialising in environment and indigenous cultural education, working at University as well as in primary and secondry schools. Steve lives on eleven acres of Land for Wildlife land in Dja Dja Wurrung country, just north of the Dividing Range from Melbourne, where he propagates indigenous plants for revegetation at his place and his local area.
ANGELA CROCOMBE
Angela Crocombe is the author of the book, A Lighter Footprint: A practical Guide to Minimising your impacts on the planet(Scribe 2007). She has written numerous educational books for children and is currently writing a book on ethical eating. Angela lives in Melbourne, doesn't own a car, and is a vegequarian.
MICHAEL GREEN
Michael Green once took a short courses in straw bale construction in Spain. But it was conducted in Spanish, so he doesn't recommend you hire him to build your house. He is now a freelance writer based in Melbourne and is much more comfortable constructing sentences.

Jane Knight has been a social change facilitator for the past 15 years with a background in environmental education, sustainable building and energy efficiency. Currently studying MA Social Ecology, a committee member of Hepburn Renewable Energy Association and working for Mount Alexander Sustainability Group, She is passionate about building a sustainable,thriving future through community action.

Lisa Dempster is a writer, editor and publisher. Her indie biz Vignette press releases quirky publicaitions and also promotes environmental sustainability within the publishing industry. Lisa's first book Veg*n Shopper: an essencial pocket reference, was released in 2007.

TOBIAS MENDELOVICI
As a tourism and environmental management specialist Tobias Mendelovici has worked in various countries including Venezuela, Costa Rica and Australia. He is the author of various publications including the ecotourism chapter for the Venezuela 2003 Lonely Planet Guide. Currently he manages a sustainable tourism project on Kangaroo Island in South Australia, and collaborates with the conservation and adaptive reuse of the Quarantine Station in Sydney.
